Global Roadshow

Istanbul, Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, London, Beijing, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai: these are some of the landmarks foreseen by the “Invest in Italy” Global Roadshow, combining workshops to promote specific investment opportunities in Italy and business meetings (B2B) with the local entrepreneurial community, to be tailored according to the peculiarities of each foreign market.

The meeting represents the ideal setting to showcase to a qualified audience of operators and potential investors, the Italian Government’s most important reforms for enterprises and economic growth, the Italian policies for the attraction of foreign investments, Italy’s economic and industrial background together with highlights on establishment procedures.

After their speeches, the keynote speakers will be available for business meetings.

Turkey

On 5, 7 and 8 October 2015 the three major Turkish cities of Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, hosted the first "Turkish-Italian Cooperation Meeting” promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in coordination with ITA- Italian Trade Agency, and implemented in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Turkey, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey - TOBB, Invest in Lombardy – Promos Camera di Commercio di Milano, the Izmir Chamber of Commerce and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Izmir.

FDI Desk
On October 7, 2015 the first permanent FDI Desk was opened at ITA Office in Istanbul for local investors requiring information on business opportunities in Italy.

Japan

On November 18, 2015 Tokyo hosted the workshop "Invest in Italy: opportunities for Japanese companies". The event, promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in coordination with ITA-Italian Trade Agency, showcased specific investment opportunities in Italy with the support of selected private stakeholders.

On January 11, 2016, a joint delegation of representatives from the Italian Trade Agency (Italian Trade Commission) and the Ministry of Economic Development flew to New York for the “Invest in Italy” Global Roadshow and, on January 13, 2016 to San Francisco in order to take part in the J.P. Morgan 34th Annual Healthcare Conference, involving about 25 leading Italian pharmaceutical companies.
On the occasion of both events, Minister Carlo Calenda outlined the Italian industrial policy measures adopted to foster competitiveness and attract investments in Italy.

San Francisco

On January 11, 2016, a joint delegation of representatives from the Italian Trade Agency (Italian Trade Commission) and the Ministry of Economic Development flew to New York for the “Invest in Italy” Global Roadshow and, on January 13, 2016 to San Francisco in order to take part in the J.P. Morgan 34th Annual Healthcare Conference, involving about 25 leading Italian pharmaceutical companies.
On the occasion of both events, Minister Carlo Calenda outlined the Italian industrial policy measures adopted to foster competitiveness and attract investments in Italy.

United Kingdom

On September 20, 2016 a joint delegation of representatives from the Italian Trade Agency (Italian Trade Commission) and the Ministry of Economic Development, will be in London for the “Invest in Italy” Global Roadshow. On this occasion the Italian Secretary of State, International Trade & Investment Attraction Ivan Scalfarotto, will outline the Italian industrial policy measures adopted to foster competitiveness and attract investments in Italy.

A special focus will be given to the Biotech, Start-ups, Real Estate, Automotive and Aerospace sectors and the related investment opportunities.

On July 1, 2016 the first FDI Desk in Europe was opened at ITA Office in London for local investors requiring information on business opportunities in Italy.

United Arab Emirates

On November 9, 2016 the Global Roadshow 'Invest in Italy', now at its sixth meeting, headed to Dubai for a selected audience of over 100 investors and economic and financial operators based in the UAE. During the works, in presence of the Italian Secretary of State, International Trade & Investment Attraction Ivan Scalfarotto, special attention was given to the four sectors that are recording the best performance and the highest interest in the field of foreign investment: Fashion, Agribusiness, Real Estate and Start up. Ample space was also devoted to taxation issues with repercussions on foreign direct investment. The event saw the official launch of the first Foreign Direct Investment Desk within the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council). Video Reportage



FDI Desk
On October 16, 2016 an investment desk was set up at the headquarters of the ITA Office in Dubai with the aim to promote, support and encourage the attraction of capital by facilitating direct contacts between foreign and Italian businesses, thanks to the vast knowledge of the context in which it operates.
